Details of the wine

Terroir
The soil is typical for the Appellation with smooth stones from alluvial deposits from the Rhône and Durance rivers. Limestone and clay soil. As in all the Rhône valley vineyards, the Mistral wind blows through here all year round. A bonus for tending vines. During Summer, from midday to late at night, sea breezes compensate temperature differences between soil and sea. When these sea breezes meet the warm load from pebbles, this enhances the convection effect and produce a large day/night temperature range known to keep all freshness and purity of the fruit.

Grapes varieties
The planted grape varieties are typical of the Appellation: 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah.

Winemaking
A selection of grapes are harvested at night to protect the aromas and avoid oxydations. After adapted pressing followed by cold settling, the must is fermented at controlled temperatures to enhance the aromatic expression. When alcoholic fermentation is complete, the wines are racked and stay at cold temperature few weeks before bottling.
