Terroir
9 ha located on the plain of the village Castillon-du-Gard. Southern exposure, escarpments with very poor soil of limestone scree and sands with stony spreadings. Sunny, hot and dry climate enhancing a good maturation of the old Grenaches pruned in goblets slightly overhanging the plain. Age of the vineyard: 35 years old Yield: 44hl/ha.
Grapes varieties
64% Grenache, 36% Syrah.
Winemaking
Parcel selection of the vineyard. Optimal maturity. Long maceration in stainless steel vats under temperatures control (1 month approximately).
Tasting notes
Shimmering ruby red robe. The fine nose offers complex aromas of red fruit and soft spices. Delicate in the mouth, the morello cherry comes with smoked notes.
Ageing Potential
2 - 3 years.
