Terroir
The soil is typical for the Appellation with smooth stones from alluvial deposits from the Rhone and Durance rivers. Limestone and clay soil.
Grapes varieties
The planted grape varieties is typical of the Appellation: 80 % Syrah and 20 % Grenache.
Winemaking
Harvest at optimal maturity and always destemmed. Maceration and alcohol fermentation during 18 days with a perfect control of the temperature and a care aroma and colour extraction. (Pumping-over). After the Malo-lactic fermentation, the wines are racked twice and blended. They are left to mature in stainless steel vats during 8 months minimum.
Tasting notes
With a beautiful deep colour, Nose is dominated by red fruits (Blackcurrant, raspberry) and grilled notes. Very pleasant to drink. Mouth is round and well-balanced. Serve around 18°c. Accompaniment advices: Enjoy with meat casseroles and barbecues.
Ageing Potential
Can be enjoyed now but will keep for 3 years.
