Domaine La Sabatière
AOP Côtes du Rhône
Winemaker : Philippe MERIC. He took over the property of his parents and acquired one on his own. Size of the property : 20 hectares Grape varieties of the whole property : Syrah, Grenache, Carignan, Mourvèdre, Cunoise and Viognier. The wines are aged between 15 and 25 years.

Terroir
Clay limestone pebbly soil. 30-40 hl/ha. His soil culture philosophy : he weeds only one rank of vine on two, he doesn’t use any antifouling and uses soil and plant treatment only when necessary and according to weather, he uses copper on vine as natural antiseptic.

Cépage
60% Grenache & 40% Syrah

Vinification
Destemmed grapes. Selection divided into parcels. Long maceration in steel vats under temperatures control (1 month approximately). Extraction of the color and structure.

Dégustation
With a purplish red color, the nose is fruity and spicy. The mouth is sweet with harmonious and mellowed tannins and a taste of ripe fruits.

Ageing Potential
Ready to drink or can be kept for 2 years.
